Three reasons why salary sacrifice is a benefit worth joining your company for. 🚗 Offering valuable perks such as salary sacrifice is a huge win for both you and your employees. Why? Not only does it set you apart from the competition, it makes you an employer worth working for. According to a recent Fleet News article, almost half (48%) of employees want access to an electric vehicle as a salary sacrifice benefit. Here's why a salary sacrifice scheme can help your business: 1. 💡 Benefits such as salary sacrifice are vital ways to attract and retain the best talent. In the post-Covid era many people are looking for employers who can adapt to and support their lifestyles - going the extra mile with a dynamic benefits package could be your key to attracting top talent. 2. 🌍 EV salary sacrifice schemes help businesses accelerate their transition to greener fleets and confidently reduce their carbon footprint in line with their sustainability targets. 3. ⚙ Hassle-free mobility. Leasing a vehicle through your employer has never been easier. Not only can employees save money with the tax benefits on offer, but they can also find peace of mind knowing that servicing, maintenance and insurance is taken care of for them. Want to learn more? This week Mark Alder and Marc Taylor attended the AFP member expo 2024 at Telford International Centre. 🤝 The day was a chance to bring representatives from across the industry together to discuss some of the topics impacting fleets today. Some of the main conversations focused on the EV transition, driver safety and SMR (service, maintenance, repair) delays. 💬 Giving his thoughts on the event, Mark Alder said: “There was plenty of discussion around the EV transition, with members sharing some of the challenges fleets are experiencing, such as the size of charging bays for LCVs, cost of public charging and how the used market can garner more support. There was also some interesting debates around creating safer roads, exploring the role telematics can play, how an increase of technology is creating additional distractions, and the importance of driving training and having a robust vehicle policy. Overall, it was a really valuable day and a great opportunity to ask questions, share insight and hear from different voices.” 💡

How much money can you really save with an electric company car? 🔋   Recent figures from HM Revenue & Customs suggest that there are approximately 760,000 employees paying company car tax. Almost 150,000 of these are paying BiK at a rate of 30% or higher. 📈   That's why thousands of employees are making the transition to EVs. Not only are employees making more sustainable choices and living greener lifestyles, but the appeal of paying between only 2-5% BiK until April 2028 is extremely tempting. In contrast, 40% tax payers can find themselves with bills of over £4,000 per year with certain ICE vehicles. 💡 To find out how much money your employees could save, check out fleet solutions here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eWPVpHSU

We're always striving to be our best, adapting to the ever-changing needs of our customers and industry. That's why we’ve been rolling out our new MyGPS framework. Sally Jarvis explains how it works. 💭 ✏ The world is ever changing, from technology to culture, to the skills, knowledge and behaviour needed to deliver for customers. What has worked for us up until now isn’t necessarily going to work going forward. To adapt to the external world, we have to continue to learn, unlearn (when things change) and relearn new ways. 👩🏫 As a business we can find ways to help our colleagues do that but ultimately, it is down to each of us to take ownership for our development. To be that driving force that proactively manages and drives our own development. MyGPS integrates performance, development, and learning and provided the tools you need to help you grow in your current role, prepare for future opportunities, and achieve your career goals. Whether you’re stepping up, adapting to a new role, or refining your skills, MyGPS is here to guide you. 🗺 All this week we’ve been hosting sessions to demonstrate how the tools work, how to have brilliant conversations and get feedback, and showcase some of the inspiring journeys of colleagues from across our business. We’re excited to discover where the MyGPS journey can take us.
