We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Sustainability Manager to join us and take the lead in revolutionizing the development and implementation of a combined BaxterStorey and our client's Sustainability strategy. Job Description
- Influencing organisational culture by championing sustainability, driving innovation and encouraging continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source local, seasonal, organic, and sustainably produced ingredients.
- Establish guidelines for ethical procurement, reducing the carbon footprint of food and material supply chains.
- Provide sustainability training to kitchen staff, and front-line employees.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international sustainability regulations and certifications.
- Track and report on sustainability performance metrics, highlighting successes and areas for improvement
- Deep knowledge of sustainability principles, especially within food systems and catering.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and training abilities to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in sustainability reporting tools and frameworks.
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to innovate eco-friendly solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in catering, hospitality, or sustainability roles.
- Proven track record of implementing sustainability programs in food service or related industries.
