Milking the Mother of All Movements 🐮 To celebrate World Breastfeeding Week this week, we want to shout out to another female-founded company: our friends and fellow scientists over at BoobyBiome who are doing incredible work to translate cutting edge breast milk research into solutions to improve infant health. But they need your help! Hertility's CEO and Founder Dr Helen O'Neill has already donated her breastmilk to further boobybiome's research. So this is a call to urge you to move out from the ovulation station and check into the lactation station by donating your breastmilk (or sharing this with any of your milking friends!)  🍼 It's super simple to do.  🍼 They'll come and collect it from your house and compensate for your time.  🍼 You'll contribute to groundbreaking research, helping boobybiome transform infant health. If you're not breastfeeding, give their page a follow to support their milk mission! Find out more 👉 https://lnkd.in/eE3YfkqX Dr. Sioned Fôn Jones

Comms, Content & Channels Manager at CPI | Accredited PR Practitioner

I'm in a video! ⬇ And it's for something really close to my heart. I first heard about BoobyBiome in a CPI meeting about 2 years ago now and it caught my attention immediately. I breastfed my firstborn for 5 weeks. Then, almost without warning, I developed a breast abscess, which left me in agony, with an open wound in my breast, on antibiotics, and very weak. I was told to stop breastfeeding. Working at BioTechniques at the time, I was all too aware of the many benefits of breast milk and emerging research in this area. I had never even considered that I wouldn't be able to breastfeed. I felt, and still feel, a huge amount of guilt about the additional goodness that Freja missed out on by not having access to my breast milk. So, learning about BoobyBiome and the supplement they're developing that contains bacteria isolated from real breast milk was a huge relief to me. I'm so grateful to BoobyBiome for this solution that will help so many parents and babies. What a powerhouse the BoobyBiome team is 👏 I also want to thank all the Mums who contributed and shared their stories to demonstrate the real need for BoobyBiome's products and its monumental lasting impact. Travelling into central London with a new baby is no mean feat. In alignment with both CPI and BoobyBiome's values, we also opened up filming to remote interviews, making it easier and more accessible for mums (including me) to take part. Co-founder and CEO at Neobe Therapeutics

Last week I had the pleasure of representing Neobe Therapeutics at SynBioBeta. It was an incredible few days comnecting with the synthetic biology community around the world, and having the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and making some new ones. Particularly thankful to the BioIndustry Association (BIA) for the opportunity to join the UK pavilion. It was a privilige to help represent UK engineering biology and share some of the work we are doing at Neobe harnessing its power to break down solid tumours. After a few extra days in the bay area full of exciting meetings it’s now time for a brief stop over in Boston on the way back home. If you’re in the area and want to catch up, talk anything immunooncology and/or synbio, or just have a beer - give me a shout!

Our collaborators at CPI have been working hard towards large-scale manufacturing of EndoPore. 2 weeks ago, Vitarka's team visited CPI's manufacturing site in Darlington to witness the 10L cultures producing several grams of our EndoPore delivery proteins. This has been possible due to the hard work of CPI's highly experienced team of scientists, and the project is led by CPI's Gabriela Henriques, supported by Pamela Little and Vitarka's Agnes Szafranek over the past 10 months. This is no small feat, to optimise the Upstream and Downstream analytical processes and get to this level of manufacturing as a startup. And this has been made possible by funding support from Innovate UK through the Transofrming Medicines Manufacturing grant.
