Monitoring cancer in 3D🦠🥽https://hubs.ly/Q02Rdg-B0 A new technique developed by scientists at The Institute of Cancer Research, and Imperial College London allows scientists to see shape-changing cancer cells in 3D, and determine how different genes affect the shapes they adopt. At Imperial, we are striving to build a better future by developing path breaking technologies like 'Voltage measurement for cancerous tissues' that measures voltage in tissue and differentiates cancerous from non-cancerous tissue. 🔮We were predicting the future a decade ago... https://hubs.ly/Q02VsVg70 ▶️ Imperial College London's leading researchers, including Professor Julie McCann, Dr Ben Glocker, and Professor Gregory Offer, recently shared reflections on the advances in technology following predictions they made ten years ago with Imperial Tech Foresight. In some cases, predictions have been spot-on, whereas others have seen significant shifts in the way in which technology has developed and been applied, leading to wholly new directions for the sector. 💡Leadership tip: Leaving a room for questioning decisions, says latest report from Imperial College Business School: https://hubs.ly/Q02Szc4b0 A new white paper from our Centre for Responsible Leadership highlights the importance of a culture where questioning decisions is not only welcomed but encouraged. Professor Celia Moore, Academic Director of the Centre for Responsible Leadership and lead author of the white paper, says: “When teams hesitate to challenge leaders, the consequences can be severe, including financial losses and operational failures.” For example, in 2021 the collapse of Archegos Capital Management, LP which resulted in Credit Suisse losing $5.5 billion was reportedly due to a reluctance to engage in challenging discussions was a critical factor in the financial fallout. #Leadership #Management #Report
