I had a fantastic time this week at the IOM3 (Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining) 43rd Cement and Concrete Science conference at Queen's University Belfast. It was a great opportunity for me to present my work relating to mix design of alkali-activated slag cements and I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of interest shown. To top of the experience I also won the Institute of Concrete Technology prize for best poster presentation! #cement #concrete #researchanddevelopment #conference #networking #research #phd IOM3 Events
