Earlier this month, some of our leaders attended the Natural Products Expo in California. Unofficially dubbed the ‘Super Bowl’ for natural consumer products, #ExpoWest served as an energising reminder of the important role we play in delivering food that is tasty, accessible, and healthy. And the importance of staying up to speed with the latest trends to resonate with our consumers - trends like global cuisines and flavours! Two of our brands – Kevin’s Natural Foods and Tasty Bite – made their mark on the Expo showcasing their latest bold innovations that deliver on this trend. On reflection, our leaders shared, “a visit to Expo serves as a powerful reminder of the vibrancy of the food industry. Even in challenging times, food remains a source of connection and creativity”. Just had an incredibly energizing week with my top leaders at Mars Food & Nutrition, discussing our vision and how we’ll put our strategy into action over the next five years. We had big conversations about our ambition and how we’ll scale our business with tasty, accessible and healthy food. We talked about how we will meet consumer needs and be the best partners for our customers and suppliers. We welcomed some speakers to stimulate our thinking about the changing external world, and also had the privilege of hearing from our global CEO, Poul Weihrauch about 2025 and the role he sees for us in his vision for Mars. A special highlight for me was recognizing and inducting eight of our inspiring Associates into the prestigious Mars Champions group. I leave our meeting more excited than ever about the possibilities ahead. We play in exciting tail-wind categories, from ready meals to ready-to-heat to global cuisines and flavours, with much-loved brands like Ben’s Original, MasterFoods, Kevin’s Natural Foods and Dolmio. We have top talent working in an empowering and energizing foodie culture, something that was visibly evident in all of our connections this week. The exhibition, which is running through to 13 April, explores the connection between soil, human life, and our planet’s future.
