The judicial power in the Republic of Uzbekistan operates independently of the legislative and executive branches, political parties, and other public associations. The establishment of taxes and other compulsory payments falls under the joint jurisdiction of the Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It is noteworthy that in the latest edition of the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the term "other compulsory payments" has been replaced with the more precise concept of "fees." The recently adopted resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On approval of the Regulation on the procedure for determining the amount of compensation for the use of an invention, utility model, industrial design without the authorization of the patent holder” establishes the procedure for determining and paying the amount of compensation paid to the patent holder if the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan issues a permit to use an invention, utility model and industrial design without the authorization of the patent holder.
