“Uzbekistan Airports” staff participated in an international sports competition The staff of “Uzbekistan Airports” JSC actively participated in the “Sky Camp Bo‘stonliq 2024” sports festival held this year in Tashkent region from 29th to 30th of June. They went for a march-throw in a trail race over a rugged terrain distance of 10 km and 20 km, with a climb of 619 m and 1238 m. This year the event involved more than 800 participants and their fans from 15 countries, both professionals and lovers of sports from near and far abroad. Such countries as Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Spain, Senegal, South Africa, Turkey, USA, France and others were among them. This time, cycling and running competitions were organized in 4 different directions: “Bike”, “Trail 10 and 20 km”, “Peak”, “Zen”. The marathon organizers noted that it was the first time the race had taken place on an internationally certified track in Uzbekistan. This means that by participating in the race, they can accumulate rating points from the International Trail Running Association (ITRA). These points can qualify them for international competitions and the UTMB World Series finals held in Chamonix, France. It’s important to mention that during the recent sports festival, plogging (where participants collect garbage while racing) was also held on both days. #uzbekistanairports #skycamp2024
