At Evergreen Labs, we understand that the key to driving the circular economy lies in local partnerships and empowering those on the ground. One example of this is our collaboration with the master aggregator in Da Nang, who plays a critical role in waste management and recycling. Through our support, which includes improved sorting infrastructure and streamlined processes, the aggregator has dramatically increased its capacity—going from processing 60 tons of waste per month to 250 tons per month. This transformation not only boosts the efficiency of waste management but also keeps more plastic out of landfills and back in the loop. By investing in infrastructure improvements and providing the tools needed for growth, we are helping local enterprises make a larger, more sustainable impact on their communities and the environment. It’s through these partnerships that real change happens. #CircularEconomy #WasteManagement #SustainabilityInAction #LocalImpact #RecyclingInnovation #PlasticWasteSolutions #CircularEconomyVietnam #WasteSorting #EvergreenLabs #ScalableSolutions

Polyculture Success in Quang Nam: Shrimp and Seaweed Farming for a Greener Future We’re excited to share the results of our innovative Polyculture of Shrimp and Seaweed Pilot Project in Quang Nam Province! By integrating seaweed with shrimp farming, we’ve taken a significant step toward more sustainable aquaculture practices that benefit both the environment and local communities. Environmental Benefits: -Carbon Footprint Reduction: The seaweed cultivated alongside shrimp absorbs excess nutrients, reducing the carbon footprint and promoting cleaner water. -Improved Water Quality: Seaweed acts as a natural biofilter, significantly reducing harmful algal blooms and creating a healthier environment for shrimp. This project comes at a critical time when traditional farming methods in Quang Nam face challenges from climate change and drought. By adopting this polyculture model, we’re not only addressing these environmental issues but also boosting the resilience of our aquaculture systems. #SustainableAquaculture #ShrimpAndSeaweed #EnvironmentalInnovation #QuangNam #ClimateAction

Purpose-driven | Social Entrepreneurship | Circular Economy | Founding Partner & Director at Evergreen Labs

Last week, I had the honor of attending and speaking at the #SEAofSolutions2024 at the UN Conference Center in Bangkok, organized by UN Environment Programme. It was a privilege to be part of a panel focused on reuse and refill solutions, where I shared our work at Evergreen Labs & Glassia Water on building end-to-end reuse systems and infrastructure. While I left inspired by the incredible efforts being made to tackle plastic pollution—both upstream and downstream—the urgency of the issue cannot be overstated. We need to accelerate our efforts and shift from discussing the challenges to actively implementing solutions. There are so many family-owned enterprises, SMEs, and MSMEs working tirelessly to deploy reuse systems, collect, sort, and divert plastics away from landfills and the environment. But until we start recognizing and supporting these efforts, we’re just talking about the issue without driving real action. The time for change is now, and we must put our foot on the gas to create meaningful impact. 🌍♻️ Side note it was wonderful to meet some amazing innovators Darina Maulana Zero Waste Living Lab (a program by Enviu) Enviu SecondMuse Sing-Suen as well as some good friends Piya Kerdlap, Ph.D. PXP Sustainability Surbhi Jore Amrendra Kumar as well as the tireless support from Jan Zellmann! #ReuseRevolution #CircularEconomy #PlasticPollutionSolutions #SustainableFuture #EndPlasticPollution #SEAofSolutions #UNEP #ZeroWaste #ReuseSystems #SustainabilityMatters #TakeAction #GreenInnovation #SupportSMEs #ClimateAction

Why Are Green Products More Expensive? Let’s Rethink the Equation 🌍💡 How many times have you come across a “green” product that’s more expensive than its conventional counterpart? If you’re like most people, the answer is probably in the thousands. This leads many to believe that creating better, more sustainable products simply costs more. But here’s the thing: what you focus on is what you get. If we accept that sustainability is always more expensive, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. In reality, there are plenty of examples where greener products require fewer materials, less energy, or use leftover resources—ultimately delivering higher value or lasting longer. It’s not about cost; it’s about innovation. And the rules of the game are yours to set. So how do we change the narrative? By demanding that our “green” solutions are equal in price or lower than conventional alternatives when you consider the total cost over time. At Evergreen Labs, we believe sustainability shouldn’t come at a premium. Let’s innovate and create solutions that are better for the planet and better for your wallet. 💚 #GreenInnovation #SustainableProducts #CircularEconomy #EvergreenLabs #TrueCostSustainability
