After serving the November 2021 security updates to the international variants of the latest premium foldable phones, Samsung is now rolling out the update for the carrier-locked and unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Z Flip 3.
Multiple Samsung devices are already running the latest November security update. Samsung has been expanding the latest security update for all of its new phones along with older phones recently.
Now, it is the turn for the carrier-locked and unlocked models of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 in the US to bag the latest security patch.
According to a report by SamMobile, the November update for the carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 arrives with the firmware version F711USQS2AUJ6. Whereas, the unlocked model of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is getting it as F711U1UES2AUJ7.
Talking about the November security update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, the carrier-locked variants are picking up the update with software version F926USQS1AUJ6. On the other hand, the unlocked models are receiving the update as F926U1UES1AUJ7.
Apparently, the update is purely incremental in nature. This means it simply bumps the security patch level to November 1, 2021, and does not add any new feature.

However, general stability fixes and performance improvements shouldn’t be ignored. Moreover, it is advised to update your phone with the latest security update.

Make sure to update your Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Z Flip 3 on a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection to avoid installation errors. If the update notification hasn’t arrived on your eligible device, you can check for it manually.
In order to do that, you need to open the Settings menu on your phone. Head over to Software updates -> Download and Install. The system will then check for the latest update.
If the update is live for your device and network, then you can tap on the update notification to begin the download process. Recently, Samsung kick-started the Android 12 One UI 4 beta program for its Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 devices in the US.
