Google announced its new Pixel 8 series phones yesterday, but nobody shared camera or video samples following the event. That is presumably due to embargoes in place, chances are we’ll see plenty of them next week. While we wait for them. PBKreviews YouTube channel decided to provide us with some Pixel 8 Pro 4K video samples.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro 4K video samples are here, seemingly early

That YouTube channel shared a video with several scenes shot with the Pixel 8 Pro, both during the day and night. Whoever runs that channel managed to get both Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro units early, as the unboxings and plenty of additional info came before the launch event.

In any case, you can check out the video samples below the article. The entire video has a duration of around a minute and a half, but plenty of video samples are thrown in there.

What we gathered from this is how stable the footage looks, and also the panning is very smooth. The Pixel 8 Pro even has the Night Sight video feature, unlike the non-Pro model, and that seems to do a good job here as well.

Light flares are there, but there’s not nearly as pronounced as they were in the past. The colors also look really nice in the samples here. If you really can’t wait to see more content, this is a nice teaser for what’s to come.

Both phones are available to pre-order as we speak

As a reminder, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are now available to pre-order, while sales will commence next week. That’s probably when we’ll get plenty more content.

These two smartphones do share the same upgraded 50-megapixel main camera, which now allows for even more light to enter the scene. The Pixel 8 Pro does have the edge with both its ultrawide and telephoto cameras, over the Pixel 8. The Pixel 8 does have an ultrawide camera, but it’s inferior to what the Pixel 8 Pro offers.

Both smartphones are fueled by the Tensor G3 chip from Google, while both ship with Android 14 out of the box. They both also have 120Hz displays, albeit different ones, and more. Check out our Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro specifications for more info.
