Netflix scraps plans for another Louis CK special

That bombshell report from The New York Times on Louis CK’s alleged history of sexual misconduct, which featured accounts from five women who say the comedian either forced them to watch him masturbate or asked to do so, has led to several repercussions for CK already. HBO removed him from the Night Of Too Many Stars lineup, as well as scrubbed its digital coffers of his content, while distribution company The Orchard has canceled the release of I Love You, Daddy. And now Netflix, in response to a query from The A.V. Club, has issued a brief statement on plans for a follow-up to his 2017 stand-up special, Louis CK: 2017.

“The allegations made by several women in the New York Times about Louis C.K.’s behavior are disturbing,” a Netflix spokesperson responded. “Louis’s unprofessional and inappropriate behavior with female colleagues has led us to decide not to produce a second stand up special, as had been planned.” When The A.V. Club inquired about the status of previous specials like Louis CK: Hilarious, the spokesperson replied: “The current specials will remain on Netflix.”
