With middle aged you would want more context, however with OT to YA it would balance between high impact visuals and some context.

When making final adjustments and view your video two or three times and ask yourself if it is good. If so, your inner feeling will tell you everything is well. If not, try again.

Adjusting your pace is not one of those cookie cutters one size fits all areas. The pace is relative to your audience's preference. One audience is not going to be identical to another.
