One of the key lessons I've learned throughout my entrepreneurial journey is simple: don’t die. Do whatever it takes to protect the mission. Build an unshakable foundation of calm and level-headedness, especially when facing turbulent times. Sometimes, that means selling IT equipment to make payroll, doing emergency fundraising, injecting my own savings to cover salaries, or taking a pay cut while conducting mass layoffs. That level of stress is incredibly challenging, which is why I’ve made personal well-being non-negotiable. I swear by TM.org, clean eating, exercise, adequate sleep, and more. This journey has also taught me to savor the good times and practice frugality, even when the company has ample cash on the balance sheet. It’s essential to maintain a rainy day fund and raise more than you think you'll need. I learned this firsthand when a fund pulled a signed term sheet just as COVID hit. By preparing for the unexpected, you ensure that no surprise can shake your foundation. And that foundation is your mission. At 0G Labs ours is to make AI a public good, enabling everyone to experience abundance.
