About us
1736 Family Crisis Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving our communities most vulnerable members, including victims of domestic violence, abuse, homelessness, human trafficking, and other crises. Our mission is comprehensively to help children, women, men, and families through crises, including domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, joblessness, poverty, human trafficking, suicide ideation and attempts, addiction, post-traumatic stress, and emotional and life-survival challenges, thereby improving their prospects for long-term housing, psychological wellness, financial stability, and success. 1736 Family Crisis Center operates 24 service sites in greater Los Angeles and Orange Counties, providing residential and outpatient services to individuals and families in need. Our clients are predominantly people of color, with many monolingual Spanish. More than 95% fall below 30% of area median income. We serve approximately 26,000 individuals each year through direct services and community educational outreach.
