Summer PIT Census at FOF! PIT is our Point In Time Census that we conduct biannually in January and July to get a snapshot in time of unhoused individuals in our service areas. On July 31, over 40 staff, volunteers and service organizations went out into 19 different counties in Iowa to make connections with those who may be unhoused. In North Central Iowa, 36 surveys were completed and 11 in North East Iowa. This means that we were able to talk to/observe 47 people and potentially connect them with services or get them a supply bag with essentials! We are so thankful to all the volunteers, staff and service organizations that were a part of this Summers PIT Census and to Domino's Pizza and The Corner - Pizza and Alehouse for providing a tasty meal for those participating this summer. #IASummerPIT24 #EveryoneHasaHome #PITCensus2024 #Thankful

Our 4th Annual Putt An End to Homelessness was last Friday but we are still reliving all the fun!! This year we had 18 teams compete and Scheels went home with the win for the 2nd year in a row! We are so thankful to them for being our presenting sponsor this year as well as ALL of our amazing sponsors: Farmers State Bank, Lincoln Savings Bank, Waverly Exchange Club, US Rehab, VGM Group, Inc., First Bank, Locknet, BTC Capital Management, Cara Shanks - Realtor with Captivate Real Estate Team at Century 21, KWWL, NRG Media, Prairie Links Golf & Event Center and all of the golfers who spent their day with us. National Night Out is just a few days away!! We are so excited to see everyone on Tuesday Night at the Mason City Arena! This event, on Tuesday, August 6 from 5 to 8pm, is in collaboration with the Mason City Police Department and is FREE to the public. We will have kids activities including an inflatable Police Car and face painting, free food, lots of emergency vehicles like Firetrucks, Police Cars and more, over 30 resource booths to check out AND giveaways!! Overdrive Auto LLC has donated 16 bikes and 15 scooters for the kids giveaway this year. WOW!! Take a peek at the photo to see what you could win! Each kiddo will have a chance to win.
