The ability to practice how a unit leverages multi-domain effects within a convergence window is an important factor for gauging the realism of the unit training. Units at 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson regularly use this approach at home station in preparation for large scale combat operations. Check out the article below where Brig. Gen. Buddy Ferris, the 4ID deputy commanding general for maneuver, shares about the importance of failing early and often to get better and more lethal. https://lnkd.in/gxBMq96S

Today, leaders from the 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, conducted an Ivy Arc leader professional development session where we discussed how the Ivy Division will engage in large-scale combat operations in the future. We studied the lessons learned by warfighting function—intelligence, sustainment, protection, movement maneuver, and command and control—from the 1st Armored Division’s “division in the dirt” rotation at the National Training Center. Their experiences offered Ivy Division commanders and staff leaders the ability to set conditions for success using a before-action review technique. As always, we continue to push our leaders here—and across the Army—to excel, solidifying our role as the Army's marquee multi-domain operations division. 📸 by Pfc. Cecilia V.
