We were saddened to learn of the loss of distinguished and versatile actor, on both stage and screen, James Earl Jones. Upon hearing the news, we reflected on the times he graced us with his talent and warmth. His first appearance on our stage was in 1972 and he appeared six more times throughout the years. In honor of his life, please take a moment to experience the 1988 archival audio of James Earl Jones reading an excerpt of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “Letter from Birmingham Jail”. His performance was in honor of the Martin Luther King Day Celebration live at The 92nd Street Y, New York. Link to audio clip in first comment.
