The longer I've been involved in politics, the less I value the cleverest boy in the room and his clever new plan, and the more I value the person who can just get some people together in a room and make anything happen, anything! Those people are rare: the doers and organizers and actors, rather than the thinkers. That's what we need more of, just organizers. If you can make one actual thing happen, that is more valuable to me than any number of tomes of genius political science or whatever.
