Last week, we hosted a two-day, hands-on workshop developed by The Management Center that focused on essential management skills for our portfolio organizations. The workshop covered key topics such as the delegation cycle, roles and goals, and team development, all viewed through a lens of equity and inclusion. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our speaker, Cheyenne E. Batista, Ed.D., Founder & CEO of Firefly Worldwide Inc., for leading the insightful discussions and sharing her expertise with us.

About us
A Better Chicago is a venture philanthropy fund devoted to dramatically improving educational opportunities for low-income students. We invest in a select portfolio of high performing nonprofits that are putting low-income students on a path toward high school and college success. By providing our grantees with both significant funding and management support (such as business planning, leadership development and legal assistance), A Better Chicago is empowering Chicago’s most effective nonprofits to scale and meet the need for better educational options for our city and region.

The dashboard provides a comprehensive view of youth progress, tracking them against six key milestones, with data broken down by neighborhood. Explore the dashboard here: https://lnkd.in/gfh2FBfv
