The #nulconf24 is still taking place in New Orleans, and it’s been nothing short of amazing. For the Youth Leadership portion of the conference, we have had 16 students and 4 Youth Services staff members on the campus of Xavier University. During this annual summit, our Project Ready students come together with other affiliates throughout the movement to focus on being leaders, STEM activities with our partner Cox Communications, understanding the principles of building a business and of course, preparing them for college life. Additionally, this weeklong summit includes participating in the State of the Union address given by NUL President and CEO MARC MORIAL, where the speech focused on Reclaiming your VOTE. Our students were also joined by our President and CEO Karen Freeman-Wilson, COO Calmetta Coleman and VP of Youth and Family Services Angela Hamilton, LSW.
