  • Last night, the Australian American Chamber of Commerce Pacific Northwest board had the honor of attending a reception with the Australian American Leadership Dialogue in Seattle. The event, hosted by Amazon at The Spheres, brought together influential leaders, distinguished guests and change-makers dedicated to strengthening the deep ties between Australia and the United States. The Australian American Leadership Dialogue (AALD) is a private diplomatic initiative that unites leaders from Australia and the United States across government, business, space and technology, media, education, and community sectors to collaboratively strengthen and shape the bilateral relationship. AACC Pacific Northwest board member Michael Brett, a Young Leader Delegate with the AALD, MC'd the event. Other local notable figures to attend included City of Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell and Amazon SVP Neil Lindsay. A huge thank you to the AALD and Amazon for hosting the event, and to all who attended for making it a memorable evening. Martin Gorman Christie Moffat Jordan Reichelt Jay P. As part of the recent US Trade and Investment aftercare Mission in October, a milestone Strategic Cooperation Agreement was signed between Washington State and Tasmania. This Strategic Cooperation Agreement aims to accelerate trade, investment, skills, and industry outcomes between our two states, which share a number of similarities. "Washington has become fast friends with Tasmania lately. I think it's because we have a similar view on the future - a cleaner one - and we both aim to seize that potential," said Washington Gov. Jay Inslee. #tradetasmania

  • Happy New Year! Sign up or renew your AACC Pacific Northwest membership by January 15, and go in the draw to win two round-trip Qantas flights to Australia!

Calling all members! 🦘 We’re excited to announce that Qantas has once again partnered with AACC Pacific Northwest to provide a special opportunity to our members. Sign up for a new AACC Pacific Northwest membership, or renew your membership before Wednesday 15 January, 2025 to be eligible to win two round-trip Qantas airfares to Australia! We will be drawing the raffle at a later AACC Pacific Northwest event in 2025 - more details will be available in the new year. To sign up or renew, see our website: https://lnkd.in/gpV4s2h8 -- ‘My American husband and I are spending our first Christmas in Australia in 10 years this year, and that is all thanks to AACC PNW! Flights are always so expensive at this time of year, which has kept us from being able to be with my family for Christmas for so long. Being an AACC member and winning these flights changed all that! While we initially expected black out dates, we were so surprised when Qantas approved our preferred dates of travel. We lost my niece to cancer in 2022, so getting home to be with my sister and eldest niece for this special but difficult family time is a dream come true! Thank you to the AACC and Qantas for filling my heart and bringing my family together for the holidays!' - Katie-Lee Baker, 2024 winner of the Qantas airfare raffle
