  • Today, Congressman Sean Casten visited ACCESS Doctors Medical Center to tour our facility and explore how ACCESS and other Federally Qualified Health Centers are supporting patients in the Sixth District and beyond. Our discussions emphasized the significance of integrated health care services, including behavioral health, substance use treatment, and maternal and child health. We also highlighted the need to safeguard the 340B program, which helps ensure our patients can access affordable lifesaving medications. Thank you to Congressman Casten and the Illinois Primary Health Care Association for your partnership and support. #ValueCHCs #TeamACCESS

At Tell Your Story, we have had the pleasure of working with some incredible people and companies over the years. From tech to fashion, to construction to health care, Tell Your Story’s clients are always something special, because we choose to work with the best of the best. One of those special clients we’d like to introduce you to is Cristina Sotelino, Chief Growth and Brand Officer at Access Community Health Network (ACCESS). Along with being tasked with helping to grow the community healthcare provider's footprint in the Chicagoland area, Cristina is responsible for leading the strategy and implementation of all marketing, communications, and community outreach initiatives to help position and sustain ACCESS as a healthcare leader. With more than twenty years of experience in marketing and public relations, Cristina has spent much of her career building and sustaining brand equity for some of the nation's most recognized brands, including Hilton Hotels and H. J. Heinz. A strong advocate for promoting access to quality health care, Cristina has devoted much of her career to working within the healthcare industry. Cristina hired the Tell Your Story team 11 years ago (after previously working with our founder, George Rafeedie, at a prior firm) to support the company’s growing social media engagement goals. Today, the relationship has expanded to graphic design services, content marketing creation, and social advertising strategies. “The Tell Your Story team has been incredible to work with for more than a decade, providing my team with smart counsel and strategy as well as team stability. We could not have gotten through the grueling daily 'fire drills' in those early months of the pandemic without their support,” says Sotelino. “As one of the nation’s largest networks of federally qualified health centers working to address racial and ethnic disparities and improve health equity, we needed a team that not only understood the importance of our work but aligned with our mission. Tell Your Story worked right alongside my team, seven days a week, supporting our large-scale efforts to promote COVID testing sites then vaccinations to finally, the importance of returning to care post-pandemic. Their efforts truly helped us reach the area’s most vulnerable residents.” When not working to improve the health of our most underserved communities, she loves running, hiking, travel and cooking. She's a first generation American with a Swiss-born mother and a Spanish-born father, who is a retired James Beard award winning chef. He taught her to always follow her passion and when in doubt, stick with the basics. “The best food is always created with just a few simple, fresh ingredients. Don't overcomplicate things – that's what he taught me,” she says. Thank you, Cristina, for your partnership!
