Thank you to the Hawaii Society of Business Professionals for the opportunity to speak at its Finance 101 Workshop at the Accuity LLP Innovation room. It was invigorating to walk through a company's financial statements and KPI's, and to share the importance of the accounting and finance functions when making strategic organizational decisions.

For Armando Martinez, the best part of his internship as an IT Audit Intern was soaking up knowledge from associates who mixed valuable insights with plenty of humor and encouragement. Stepping out of his comfort zone allowed him to progress as a professional and grow in ways he never expected.🌟

Welcome Monica Mau, our new Consulting Intern! Monica is currently studying at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s Shidler College of Business, where she’s triple majoring in management information systems, finance, and international business, along with a minor in Chinese. She’s also had the opportunity to study abroad in both Taiwan and South Korea, expanding her global experience. When she’s not busy with her studies, Monica enjoys jogging, trying out new food spots with friends, and watching her favorite shows like Lost and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Fun fact: Monica is a dedicated K-pop fan and owns over 50 albums, a collection she expanded during her time in Korea! 🎶

During her internship, Tiffany Hamada experienced a workplace where openness and personal connections were everything. ✨ From friendly chats with partners to the genuine support of her colleagues, Tiffany’s time at Accuity gave her the confidence and connections she needed for an exciting future!

Meet Yiping Ying, our new Senior Audit Manager! Yiping earned her undergraduate degree in accounting before pursuing a master’s degree in accounting and finance in London. From Dublin to Bermuda, Yiping has had an incredible journey working in public accounting before settling in Honolulu in 2022. 🏖️ She now lives in Waikiki with her husband and their dog, Wally. 🐾 In her free time, Yiping loves cooking up new recipes (she nailed kalua pork on Labor Day!), swimming, reading Sci-Fi, and playing video games like Legend of Zelda. She’s overcome her childhood fear of the ocean and now enjoys swimming solo in the sea! 🌊

We’re excited to welcome James Reilly, our newest Consultant to Accuity! Originally from Pelham, New York, James studied architecture at the University of Miami before moving to Hawai‘i with his wife and two daughters. With over 20 years of experience in architecture and project management, he’s ready to bring his expertise to our team. Outside of work, James enjoys swimming, spearfishing, and supporting his daughters' sports and school activities. He’s also a fan of light, 30-minute comedies and has a passion for exploring unique travel destinations — like his unforgettable trip to Bulgaria for a rowing event! 🚣♂️

Born in Idaho and raised on O‘ahu, Jakeb attended Punahou School and just graduated from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa with a BBA in Accounting & MIS. We’re thrilled to have him on board full-time after his time with us as a summer intern. 🎓 Jakeb's favorite hobbies include DJing, golfing, and attending EDM raves. Plus, he has an impressive collection of about 20 colognes! 🎧⛳

Join us in welcoming Kale‘a Posiulai, our new Audit Associate! Born and raised on O‘ahu, Kale‘a is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools Kapālama and the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting. She’s currently studying for the FAR section of the CPA exam. 📚🎓 In her free time, Kale‘a loves hitting the gym, chilling at the beach, exploring new coffee shops, and finding treasures at thrift stores. Her favorite food is spicy ahi, and she’s a big fan of The Office. She also loves attending reggae concerts!
