Adirondack Health's certified athletic trainers will host the presentation, "Healthcare for high school athletes," on Wednesday, May 29. Representatives from Adirondack Health will be on hand at next week's Job Fair in Saranac Lake to discuss career opportunities. The event, which is sponsored by the Adirondack Daily Enterprise and Lake Placid News, will be held in the Sparks Athletic Complex at North Country Community College, 23 Santanoni Ave., Saranac Lake, from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 6. The Adirondack Health Foundation recently launched the Helping Hands and Hearts program and has received its first gifts. A patient’s family made a gift to oncology in honor of Dr. David Mastrianni, Dr. Emily Szczech, and Breast Care Navigator Margaret Sorensen. The Foundation’s Emily Moulton met with the three recipients to present them with pins recognizing and congratulating them for their outstanding care, which resulted in this gift. Another patient made a donation in honor of Physical Therapist Makenzie Grevelding. The Helping Hands and Hearts program helps recognize a specific employee or employees or a whole department, and possibly facilitates a donation to the Adirondack Health Foundation.
