  • If real estate is all about "location, location, location," then in business it is many times more. That's why Plug Power located in our Vista Technology Park; why Regeneron came across the Hudson River to locate its newest offices in Menands; why the Port of Albany and Port of Coeymans still draw interest after decades of business; and why our newest sites at the former Ann Lee/Heritage Park and Al Tech Specialty Steel are raising eyebrows for both light and major industrial developers. Whether it's retail in search of customers, manufacturing in search of workforce, or R&D in search of the best and brightest minds: Albany County provides land and resources that fit any need.

  • When a business looks for location, logistics often dominates the search. That's why Albany County is a finalist and destination for major industries, as well as the supporting businesses that come along for the benefits. • The Port of Albany is the largest inland deepwater port in the Northeast. • The Albany-Rensselaer Amtrak station is 9th busiest in the nation. • Our international airport is reloading with a $100 million expansion. • I-90 is one of the most-traveled federally-controlled trucking highways in the U.S., and meets I-87 at the heart of Albany County.

  • We're proud to have you, TCI of NY! Celebrating its 10th year at the Port of Coeymans, TCI of NY has worked with Advance Albany County Alliance and our agencies on minor and major incentive programs, keeping and growing jobs in Coeymans. With further expansion in the works, the Alliance is glad to continue providing support for this partnership! Part of the G&S Family of businesses, TCI of NY receives and recycles electric power distribution transformers, reusing 99% of the mineral oils and materials for beneficial use. Subject to strict state and federal oversight, TCI of NY is an example of government investing and supporting New York's vibrant business environment.

  • On behalf of Daniel Rickman of SBA: Good morning Partners, I'm very pleased to announce that SBA, in partnership with Empire Apex Accelerator, IgniteU NY, NYSTEC, Pursuit, SUNY, and U. Albany SBDC, is bringing back the Upstate NY Matchmaker (FKA the Albany Matchmaker) after a long hiatus due the pandemic. This is the premier event for small business contractors to engage with government agencies and Prime contractors via structured, pre-scheduled, meetings to discuss contract opportunities. What's unique about this event in Upstate NY is the use of an online matchmaking system to identify matches between buyer criteria for NAICS code, desired certifications, etc. so that businesses can schedule meetings with actual potential for contracts and buyers can meet with potentially qualified suppliers. Registration is open for both buyers and small businesses right now! If your organization has goals for contracts or sub-contracting with small businesses, particularly disadvantaged, woman-owned, veteran-owned, or minority-owned, this is an excellent opportunity to meet qualified suppliers to meet your requirements. There is no cost for government agency/public buyers to attend this event, and it is only $125 per table for Prime contractors. If you work with small businesses or organizations that have small business contract goals, please share this opportunity! For more information, feel free to reach out to me or my team with any questions. daniel.rickman@sba.gov WHAT: Upstate NY Matchmaker WHEN: July 16th, 2024 WHERE: The Albany Marriott, 189 Wolf Rd., Albany, NY REGISTER: https://lnkd.in/e9AksqKU COST: Small business contractors- $65 | Prime contractors- $125 | Government agency/public buyers- No Cost | Lenders- Exhibit table: $250, Exhibit table plus Matchmaking: $350
