Today, CT State celebrated the grand opening of a new Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center at CT State Tunxis with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking a significant investment in the future of Connecticut’s workforce.
Made possible by $7.5 million in state funding, the center is now the CT State system's second-largest advanced manufacturing facility. It features a cutting-edge machine technology lab equipped with over 30 industry-standard machines and tools designed to prepare students for in-demand careers in manufacturing.
The event brought together state and college leaders, including Govnernor Ned Lamont, CSCU Chancellor Terrence Cheng, CT State President Dr. O. John Maduko, M.D., CT State Tunxis CEO Darryl Reome, Ed.D., Connecticut Chief Manufacturing Officer Paul S. Lavoie, CSCU BOR Marty Guay, and CT State Tunxis Director of Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center Jordan Domkowski, who spoke about the transformative opportunities this facility will provide. #CTStatePride #ManufacturingInCT #CTStateManufacturing
