Last week, we landed a new client.  Why did we win this work instead of the competitor who was called first? They told the client, "You are too small." In short, the provider was calling for proactive auditing, compliance and documentation improvement assistance. One of the first things the new client reported to us was they initially reached out to the largest certifying body in the coding and auditing industry and were told they were "too small" to be considered. We were shocked to say the least.   In an industry where it is routine to be contacted for auditing, coding and compliance assistance, it was a jaw dropping moment for us here at Advize to hear that an organization that supports coding, billing and auditing professionals would refuse to provide its own constituency with the opportunity to provide this assistance.    It should not matter if a provider is a one person show, or a multi-specialty corporately backed entity; asking for the assistance is what we in the industry are here to provide. We gladly sought to provide what this new client wanted, and are even happier they found us. Let's face it, who doesn't want these two #OIG greats on their team lending proactive guidance and cracking wise?
