Meet Emma Immanivong, a sophomore pursuing degrees in Digital Marketing and Business Data Analytics. Emma currently serves as the Vice President of Professional Development for the Business School Council, where she and the Professional Development committee plan professional workshops and events for the Business School Council and the wider W. P. Carey community. She’s also involved in New Venture Group Consulting, Women's Business Leaders Association, and adworks!
Outside of it all, Emma has kept her self busy with her entrepreneurial endeavor, EClaire Sweets, a dessert catering company. The idea first began during the pandemic, where Emma volunteered at a catering company to pack hundred of meals. When she heard they needed a celebration for landmark vaccination numbers, Emma started up EClaire Sweets with a huge order of 600 cake pops to Parkland Hospital in celebration of 100,000 vaccinations.
To take charge of the large operation and many more to come, Emma learned to hire help, improve packaging processes, and streamline her execution operations to complete large orders within just a couple days of notice. By the beginning of 2021, she had developed a label for her signature treats and was mass-producing them from her very own kitchen each month. Her products were enjoyed by essential workers such as doctors, volunteers, soldiers, and even Judge Clay Jenkins in the Dallas, TX metroplex area. Now, EClaire Sweets has expanded to cater desserts and luxury charcuteries boards to local business and other celebrations.
Emma remarks that her favorite part of her growing business is “being able to bring people together though good food,” a motto she’s definitely upholding as EClaire Sweets plans to create homemade cookie doughs and cooking kits for people to bake their own fresh treats from the comfort of their homes.
