Garden crew! Wisdom Circle elders planted seeds today 🌱

Research and advocacy efforts often overlook the unique experiences and needs of African-Black Muslim women, specifically regarding reproductive health. Additionally, in the United States, many providers are not aware of what FGM/C is and how to be allies. This guide was created to bring visibility to the issue and participate in efforts to advocate for FGM/C survivors and do prevention work. AFAHO created this guide for service providers to educate themselves on the practice of FGM/C and gain tools to be advocates for FGM/C survivors and potential victims. This tool was created in partnership with Khadijetou Diagana, MA, MPH Diagana, an emerging expert in reproductive and maternal health, particularly within the context of Black Muslim women.
