Want the inside track to understand how jury members view a competition entry? In this video, I interview the amazing Lance Collins, a juror for the Architecture at Zero competition. This is a design competition for decarbonization, equity and resilience, open to students and professionals worldwide. The 2024 competition challenge is to design a new building on a middle school campus in East Los Angeles (East LA), California. The new building will replace relocatable classrooms and includes science labs, an art classroom, a maker space, outdoor learning environments, and a teacher workroom. While the competition program location is Griffith STEAM Magnet Middle School, note that this is an ideas competition and is not a “real” project. With $25,000 in awards, can you afford not to enter? The deadline for entries is December 16th, so check out this opportunity today!
