Please join us in welcoming our summer intern Brooke Charley! Brooke is a rising senior at Towson University’s School of Business and Economics, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management. She has been a welcome addition to the team, supporting multiple busy departments in finance, technical publications, program and project management. She joined us as part of the Southern Maryland (SoMD) 2030 Workforce Development Program. SoMD 2030 is focused on providing STEM career opportunities and expanding partnerships with government, industry, and academia. This collaborative effort is through The Patuxent Partnership (TPP), the Naval Air Warfare Center Aviation Division (NAWCAD), and the Southern Maryland Navy Alliance, connecting talented students with paid apprenticeships and internships. AIRTEC has participated since the program’s inception last summer, hosting two interns, one of which was able to return during winter break. We are excited to be able to continue to support this community career initiative, helping college students gain real-world professional experience, and even more excited for the talented individuals it brings. The application process is highly competitive with hundreds of applicants for a few dozen participating organizations in the area. TPP narrows down the qualified applicants with the final interview and selection process done by the organization. It is incredibly beneficial for all involved and we appreciate the time and hard work that goes into a trailblazing program like this to make it successful. Brooke said she is incredibly fortunate to have been selected to work at AIRTEC this summer. She has enjoyed learning about what it takes behind the scenes to support global airborne missions with our custom fleet of aircraft. Brooke’s biggest influence has been her Dad, who served in the U.S. Navy and she wants to pursue her career supporting the Navy’s mission, hopefully in the local area. She is grateful to have already grown so much by participating in this program and looks forward the next several weeks at AIRTEC to continue learning as much as she can. When asked what she enjoyed the most about working here she said, ‘I enjoy being able to connect with others, and of course, having my office in a hangar is very cool because I get to see the planes all day.” We think it’s cool too, Brooke! We wish you continued success and the best of luck as you finish the program and continue your education! The sky’s the limit! #Internship #SoMD2030 #ThePatuxentPartnership #CareerDevelopment #AIRTEC #GlobalAirborneMissionSolutions

Starlink on AIRTEC’s King Air B300 is Helping to Prevent and Control Wildfires - AIRTEC is helping to provide critical information for preventing and controlling wildfires. The AIRTEC team has provided program management and expertise in obtaining Part 135 quality inspections and certifications, aircraft modification, and pilot training to support a Starlink install on our modified King Air B300 in partnership with Owyhee Air Research (owyheeair.com) under their U.S. Forest Service MATOC contract. Starlink is engineered and operated by SpaceX, delivering advanced, high-speed, low-latency internet to users all over the world.   AIRTEC installed a sensor package and our subsidiary, Pax Aero Solutions helped design, engineer, relocate, and remanufacture components to accommodate the Starlink install by AMI Aviation Services, a subsidiary of AeroMech (aeromechinc.com) who successfully issued the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the installation of Starlink in all King Air series aircraft in March of 2024.   As an industry leader in global airborne solutions, AIRTEC continues to provide expertise across critical mission areas and partners with some of the world’s leading aviation and technology organizations to provide full life cycle, integrated platform solutions and cutting-edge capabilities. AIRTEC specializes in supporting critical, urgent missions with rapid deployment and sustainment at the point of need.   This effort has already resulted in a record number of successful ground and aerial firefighter missions in the western U.S. and will continue to enable agencies to detect hot spots and develop fire maps to make more rapid, informed decisions. To further reduce costs and improve efficiency on this project, we also work with local area maintenance facilities for minimal downtime. AIRTEC is proud to be a part of this mission collaboration and is committed to providing solutions to solve important, global challenges. In addition, we have several other Starlink projects in progress for our BT-67 and Caravan EX. This will not only protect and conserve precious natural resources, but it will also ultimately save lives! #AircraftModification #FirefighterMissions #StarlinkKingAir #AIRTEC #AirborneSolutions

Please join us in commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day today, June 6, 2024. On that historic day in 1944, Allied forces launched a massive invasion of Normandy, France. More than 150,000 troops participated in this pivotal battle that led to the liberation of Europe from Nazi occupation. Today is a time to remember the heroes, the sacrifices made, and celebrate peace and freedom. For our aviation history enthusiasts, the Douglas C-47, affectionately known as the ‘Gooney Bird’, played a crucial role in the D-Day invasion. On the night before D-Day, more than 23,000 paratroopers from American and British divisions boarded C-47s. These troops were dropped behind enemy lines to secure strategic targets. Despite bad weather and anti-aircraft fire, the C-47s successfully delivered the paratroopers to their landing zones. The C-47 was also the backbone of the Allied military airlift during World War II. It could carry up to 6,000 pounds of cargo over long distances. More than 10,000 C-47s were built, serving with the Army Air Forces, U.S. Navy, and Royal Air Force. As the proud owner of an exclusive fleet including several Basler BT-67s (which are remanufactured DC-3C/Douglas C-47 aircraft), AIRTEC plays a critical role in supporting several strategic U.S. and partner nation programs leading operations with these impressive aircraft. Their legacy lives on as they often outperform modern day aircraft capabilities and their adaptability, reliability, and ruggedness continue to make them a valuable asset across diverse missions. Whether conducting research or patrolling the skies, our BT-67s, specially modified for today’s missions, continue to soar above and serve admirably. #DDay80 #DouglasC47 #BaslerBT67 #Freedom #AviationHistory #AIRTEC #GlobalAirborneMissionSolutions

The #AIRTEC team had an incredibly successful event at this year’s international #SOFWeek connecting with the best and brightest in the defense industry. Thank you to the Global SOF Foundation and Clarion Events for putting on such an extraordinary event. There was much excitement in the air (literally and figuratively!) with the world-class demo capabilities in action in the Tampa Bay and on display throughout the show. The keynotes and sessions were highly informative and the opportunity to connect with so many others who have a passion for supporting critical defense missions for global security is immeasurable. We are truly honored to be a part of this event with so many dedicated service men and women, defense leaders, and our mission partners, and look forward to the important outcomes this type of collaborative environment will produce for a better, safer world! As a U.S. based global airborne mission solutions provider with a custom operational fleet of aircraft dedicated to supporting the safety, security, and defense missions of many of the world’s most critical air, land, and sea programs, AIRTEC runs successful operations across the globe supporting the SOF community and is dedicated to working with our allies to bring capability and capacity closer to the point of need and improve operational readiness in contested environments. If we missed you at SOF Week, please reach out to connect with us! #SOFWeek #AIRTEC #GlobalSecurity #CustomerMission #SpecialOperationForces #ISRoperations #Aviation #GlobalAirborneMissionSolutions
