But tomorrow, we shift our focus to Black Girl Day Off—a day created in 2020 by Tomeka Casanova, MA, RHC to specifically recognize the strength and beauty of Black women while encouraging intentional awareness. This day is a powerful call to action for Black women to #stepback, #recharge, and practice #selfcare. Chronic stress can lead to serious health disparities, from heart disease to breast cancer, and this day encourages #rest as an essential part of #wellness.
