“Affordable housing is not just a place to stay—it’s a chance to reclaim your life and connect with the community around you.” 🏘️ Maria’s journey from homelessness to hope began with a phone call to St. Mary's Center. Now, she has her own affordable home. Her story shows us the affordable future that is within reach. When we invest in these solutions, we create opportunities for more people to find not just shelter but community. 💛 That’s why we’re saying YES on Prop 5, the ballot measure that will give people more power to address our needs by investing in the solutions we know work, like affordable housing.

“Pescadero has hardworking people, people who make an effort every day to get ahead. And who need to have a home and a decent place to live.” Together with Puente de la Costa Sur, Maria is advocating for affordable homes for immigrant farmworkers. For decades, she and her family depended on employer-provided housing, so when her husband lost his job, they were left without a place to live. It’s time to invest in affordable housing solutions that empower our farmworker families to live and grow with stability. That’s why we’re saying YES to Prop 5, the ballot measure that will make it easier for us to create affordable housing. Learn more at YesOnCAProp5.org.

Last night we gathered at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland for the Bay Area Premiere of Beyond the Bridge — a documentary focused on the solutions to homelessness. The A Better Vision Films crew drove over 40,000 miles to visit 12 cities and dozens of service providers, those with lived experience and policy makers in search for answers. What they found is clear: in order to solve homelessness, we must work in deep coordination to ensure everyone has a safe place to call home and the support they need to thrive. Thank you to everyone who joined us to watch this powerful film and hear from local leaders on what it will take here in the Bay Area.

Housing is on the ballot this November! Here at All Home, we're saying YES ON PROP 5 so we can build safe communities we can afford to live in. What will it do? Prop 5 gives us more tools to make housing more affordable for the millions of Californians struggling with high housing costs, including building supportive housing for people experiencing homelessness. How does it work? Prop 5 gives voters more power to address local housing and public infrastructure needs by reducing the voter majority required to pass local bonds for housing and infrastructure projects from ⅔ to 55%- the same as school bonds.
