About us
The Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California (NPH) activates our members to make the Bay Area a place where everyone has an affordable and stable home. We are 750 affordable housing developers, advocates, community leaders and businesses, working to secure resources, promote good policy, educate the public and support affordable homes as the foundation for thriving individuals, families and neighborhoods. As the backbone organization for the affordable homes community since 1979, NPH creates the environment and generates the essential elements – land, funding, supportive policies and political will – for developing, preserving and operating service-enriched affordable homes for low-income individuals and families, seniors, veterans and people with disabilities. We advocate for solutions at the federal, state, regional and local levels, run targeted, focused campaigns, and help build capacity at our member organizations through leadership development opportunities, networking and training events and peer-to-peer sharing of best practices.

Had a great time with my Emerging Leaders Peer Network (ELPN) Steering Committee hosting the ELPN mid-year event earlier this month! Special thanks to my planning co-chairs, Adrian Napolitano and Louis Acra! We toured TNDC's Howard Street and enjoyed a networking happy hour at the Pawn Shop SF. SPI State is an experiential learning program for nonprofit leaders where they learn how to pass state legislation. The goal is to invest in the policy making skills of cis & trans women and gender expansive people, particularly from BIPOC communities. This year in particular they are seeking community leaders who hope to join a team focused on housing for survivors of gender based violence. Learn more below!
What are the main reasons you should apply to SPI? 💫 To meet incredible changemakers like Clementine Ellis, MA. Clementine is one of our inspiring alums of the Dr. Beatriz María Solís Policy Institute (SPI) Fellowship.
