Shouldn’t plans be rewarded for providing high-quality care? Absolutely. But there's something very wrong when aggressive MA risk adjustment coding pays more than quality care. MA for Tomorrow envisions a future where MA plans are rewarded for providing quality care to seniors and not for chasing risk adjustment revenue. With MA for Tomorrow, ACHP is moving MA from "good" to "great."

Lowering drug prices requires more than just half measures. The Senate's bill on patent abuse is a step forward, but it'll take more than watered-down 'patent thickets.' Let’s prioritize patients over profits.

ACHP recently submitted a letter to the US Patent and Trademark Office supporting its proposed rule to address anticompetitive practices like patent thickets. These reforms will help generic and biosimilar manufacturers compete, promoting competition and lowering prescription drug costs. ACHP member companies are committed to leading reforms that enhance health care affordability and outcomes. We urge the USPTO to finalize the rule and continue tackling other anticompetitive practices. Read the full letter here: https://lnkd.in/ehqWpf-x

What concerns older adults the most about health care? It's the (lack of) affordability. A recent study reveals that tens of millions of seniors are deeply worried about the rising costs of health care, alongside expenses for housing, food, and other essentials. In fact, 1/3 of seniors 65 and older have reported difficulty paying for critical care. ACHP members are laser-focused on providing affordable, high-quality coverage to their communities, coverage that bridges economic, educational and cultural divides.
