About us
Alliance Homecare is a premier long-term home healthcare company offering an extensive range of services, including Private Duty Nursing, Home Health Aides, and Geriatric Care Management. As a Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA), we cater to a sophisticated client base in the New York metropolitan area. We staff only the highest quality Registered Nurses, Home Health Aides, and healthcare professionals. These individuals understand that our clients expect the very best talent in home care. Our company is committed to providing world class care to our patients and their loved ones while honoring a strict code of confidentiality. We offer an elite and highly qualified team of healthcare professionals who uphold the strongest principles of integrity and professionalism. The company was founded in 2006 by Gregory Solometo and two childhood friends who are both Registered Nurses. Gregory wanted to take a different approach to home care after he discovered how difficult it was to find quality caregivers to look after his grandmother with Alzheimer’s. During her five-year journey with the disease, Gregory encountered firsthand the challenges and costs of caring for an elderly family member, both in the home and in a facility. Now, our dedicated and professional staff are here to help you and your family find the best home care available.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Helene Bergman, a cherished member of the Alliance Homecare family. Helene was not only a pioneer in the field of care management but also a mentor, colleague, and dear friend to many of us. Helene’s journey with us began over 20 years ago, when our Founder, Greg Solometo, first connected with her through mutual friends. From their first meeting, it was clear that Helene was a force to be reckoned with—a trailblazer in the world of Geriatric Care Management (GCM), now known as Aging Life Care Association®. Her influence in this field was immense, and she became a trusted resource for countless families navigating the complexities of aging. In 2016, we were honored to acquire her GCM practice, Eldercare Alternatives, which became an integral part of our operations as Alliance ECA. Helene’s vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to what was best for the client have been foundational to who we are today. Her approach to integrated Care Management oversight has shaped our model of care and continues to guide us in our mission. Helene was a principled leader who never shied away from a debate, always pushing for what was right for the client. Her legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of our company, and we are forever grateful for the impact she had on our lives and our work. Helene’s strength, wisdom, and compassion will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Helene’s spirit will continue to inspire us as we carry on the important work she championed.

This February, let's take a moment to focus on our hearts – not just as a symbol of love, but as the vital organ that keeps us moving, dreaming, and achieving every day. Did you know? Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups in the United States. Yet, it's often preventable through lifestyle choices and regular check-ups. 👉 Here are 3 ways we can all support our heart health: Stay Active: Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity each week. Even short bursts of exercise are beneficial. Eat Heart-Healthy: Incorporate more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins into your diet. Remember, what's good for your heart is good for your whole body. Regular Check-ups: Keep tabs on your heart health with regular check-ups. Knowing your numbers (blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and BMI) can help you take control of your heart health. 💡 Let's start a conversation! Share your heart-healthy tips, success stories, or how you're making heart health a priority in 2024. Your story could inspire others to take their heart health seriously. Together, we can make a difference. Let's take care of our hearts and encourage those around us to do the same. ❤️ #AmericanHeartMonth #HeartHealth #Wellness #HealthyLifestyle
