We recently celebrated the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our first cohort of incredible graduates for successfully completing our Nonprofit Civic Engagement Collective, a coalition available to Alliance members, uniting and empowering Mississippi nonprofits with shared policy goals and objectives to develop strategies and winning advocacy campaigns that further advance their mission. These Alliance members are now equipped with the knowledge and skills to shape meaningful change in their communities and we can't wait to see the impact they'll make! Thanks to our partners, Ten One Strategies and Nancy Perret for supporting this journey. What a GREAT quarterly member meeting we had today! Our special guests gave a wonderful presentation and held a panel discussion on the vital role of nonprofit and philanthropy partnerships in disaster response and recovery, such a near and dear topic given all the disaster events that have occurred in the southeast region recently. Thanks to all who participated in-person and online, and a special thanks to the Mississippi Library Commission Commission for use of your meeting space and staff for all their support before, during and after the meeting!
