To honor #HispanicHeritageMonth, our Team Member Resource Group (TMRG) ALMA (Altair Latin American Memories and Ancestry) hosted an in-person and virtual session, “Latin America: Communication, Culture, and Mobility” with speaker Diana Zalaquett, Global Senior Consultant at Aperian, which was also Altair Global’s first TMRG event to be eligible toward an hour of continued industry training GMS/CRP credit through WERC. 🌎💭 Diana discussed topics such as the role of the individual, power gaps, communication styles, and approaches to completing tasks and how these interactions may vary based on a person’s culture.   Using GlobeSmart, Diana focused on the top seven Latin American locations our clients relocate to and from and discussed the cultural differences one may face and must adjust to. For example, in the U.S., people tend to be more self-resilient than community-oriented, focus more on egalitarianism rather than status, take more risks, and would rather get to the main point than know all the background details. In #GlobalMobility, it’s important to understand the culture shocks expatriates face and learn to find a balance in collaboration. #CorporateRelocation #GlobalCulture

Our headquarters in Frisco, TX is getting into the seasonal spirit, as they celebrated their very own OktoBEERfest this past week. 🎃🍂🍻 #Oktoberfest began in 1810 in Munich, Germany as a five-day celebration of the marriage between King Louis I to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. It originated with a horse race at the end of the festival and continued the following years. Over the years, the race combined with a state agricultural fair where the food and drinks as we know and love began. Now, Oktoberfest is a two-week festival celebrated around the world with beer and popular German foods. In the spirit of our multicultural team and industry and as part of our company’s #TeamMemberExperience, team members ended the day with a celebration full of pretzels, beer, brats, and spending time with their fellow colleagues. #LifeAtAltair #GlobalMobility #CompanyCulture

Our #ExperienceManagement (#XM) approach helps enable us to provide great mobility experiences for our relocating customers. 🌎📦 Our clients’ experience with Altair is just as important as our customers’. We wouldn’t begin to have the opportunity to build these #CustomerExperiences (CX) if the relationships didn’t first start with our client partners, which is where the #ClientPartnerExperience (CPX) pillar of our XM philosophy comes in. Find out directly from our team members across varying regions and departments as they share what partnership means to them in #GlobalMobility: https://lnkd.in/gz-7rDcG #AltairXM #CorporateRelocation

Kathryn Cassidy, Altair Global’s President and COO, had a great time with fellow Altair Global colleagues at Goodwill Industries of Dallas, Inc.’s annual fundraiser, “The Lunch: Risk Boldly, Live Fully.” Along with being Goodwill’s Executive board Vice Chair as a part of Altair’s social commitment to our headquarters’ local community, Kathryn spent her time as “The Lunch” chair, organizing a great fundraiser with speaker Lindsey Vonn, Olympic Gold Medalist and World Cup Champion Ski Racer, benefitting Goodwill’s Workforce Development programs that help job seekers find success and achieve their goals. Altair Global is proud to be a sponsor for this event and hope to make a difference in our community! #Goodwill #TheLUNCH #GlobalMobility #NorthTexas

🚨East and Gulf Ports Strike UPDATE🚢 Yesterday afternoon, the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) agreed to a new wage offer with the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) and will suspend strike action at East and Gulf coast ports.   The ILA said that union members will go back to work, extend the current master contract until January 15, 2025, and return to the bargaining table to negotiate outstanding issues.   It’s been estimated that each day of strike action will require 4 to 6 days to resume normal operations. The backlog that has accumulated since the ports closed on Tuesday, October 1 will take some time to clear.   Altair Global will continue to provide updates on all impacted shipments. The celebrations continue as we not only achieve 35 years as a relocation management company, but also recognize our 5th year as an #ExperienceManagement (#XM)-focused organization. 🥳 📈 Over these past five years, we have gathered more than 1.3 million customer sentiments regarding their relocation experience through our X-checks (pulse surveys). Much can be discovered by blending this unique qualitative experience (X) data with traditional quantitative operational (O) data. 💡 To study customer trends, we recently evaluated roughly 500,000 customer journey sentiments, supplemented by another 500,000 operational data points, representing nearly 14,000 customer moves. The analysis reveals the key drivers for a positive or negative mobility experience – and they may surprise you. Let’s bring out the cake and light the candles; this October we are celebrating our 3️⃣5️⃣-year anniversary as a relocation management company! 🎂🎉 35 years ago, Altair Global (AmeriCorp at the time) was founded in Dallas, TX with a dream and a card table, and a goal to simplify the relocation process for companies and their employees while delivering exemplary services. 5 years ago, we transformed into an #ExperienceManagement (XM)–focused organization, fostering connections with relationships that matter and blending qualitative experience (X) and quantitative operational (O) data to gain deeper insights into the experiences we provide. Our XM model has brought improvements to all four pillars: the client partner experience (CPX), customer experience (CX), supplier partner experience (SPX), and team member experience (TMX). Join us as we reflect on these dual anniversaries and how far our company has come since 1989, the developments we have made along the way, and where we see #globalmobiltiy and our organization in the future: https://bit.ly/3XT70ll #CorporateReloction #CompanyAnniversary #HappyBirthdayAltair #AltairXM
