Caregiving is our Calling
About us
At Amedisys whether we’re caring for patients directly or supporting those who do, each of us is a caregiver at heart. From home health to hospice to personal care, every team member contributes to our mission of providing exceptional, clinically distinct care in the home to more than 415,000 patients every year. We know that every life tells an incredible story, and we celebrate that each day by honoring our patients with genuine, personal attention. Everything we do, from the boardroom to our nationwide network of care centers, is centered on the best care possible for those who have entrusted us with their well-being and comfort. We work closely with doctors and other healthcare providers to coordinate services, and every patient has an individual plan of care that meets their specific needs. Amedisys recognizes that nothing we do is possible without our incredible team. For all employees, whether they’re on the front lines delivering direct care or supporting our clinical team, this isn’t just a job – it’s a higher calling. We’re committed to finding passionate, qualified caregivers for our team and investing in them with the best resources, training and professional development opportunities to nurture their talents in order to empower them to make a real difference. At Amedisys, we know that the unique skills and experiences all service members and military spouses have lead to outstanding, dedicated caregivers, and that is why we are proud to partner with organizations such as Hiring our Heroes, TAOnline.com, and Military Spouses Employment Partnership to recruit and employ veterans and military spouses across our company. Together, we will lead the future of healthcare in the home, establishing ourselves as the premier innovative choice for aging in place wherever patients call home. After 25 years, Becky’s career journey with Amedisys is a testament to how we support professional growth and work/life balance. Starting as a staff RN case manager, Becky has worn many hats including Director of Operations, both in-person and remotely, to prioritize caring for her mother and disabled son. Amedisys provided her with the flexibility, recognition, and support to thrive both personally and professionally. Now, at 71, we are honored to still have Becky as a part of our family of caregivers. Thank you, Becky, for your 25 years of dedication and service!

Wishing our patient Alvin a very happy 102nd birthday! One of our best Amedisys Hospice traditions is the 100+ Birthday Club and sending cards to our patients celebrating 100+ birthdays, and we’re so thankful to everyone who sent birthday cards to our Dallas care center for Alvin. Your kindness brings so much joy to our patients, and this program is truly a highlight for them. Thank you for making Alvin’s birthday unforgettable!
