We are happy to announce Erica N. Johnson, MD, FACP, FIDSA has been named the new Senior Vice President for Academic and Medical Affairs at ABIM. Dr. Johnson spent the last nine years as the Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore and was also Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In her new role, Dr. Johnson will provide leadership at ABIM for important interactions with the graduate medical education community in internal medicine and its subspecialties, and help coordinate ABIM’s discipline specific governance through the work of the ABIM Council and Specialty Boards.
