We are excited to announce our new community underway in Lockhart, Texas. Firefly will have 145 homes, each built entirely leveraging Amherst’s modular construction capability StudioBuilt™. Firefly is our first major project and represents a milestone moment in efforts to solve the housing shortage facing Texas residents. “The opening of our new Firefly community generates much needed housing supply for homebuyers in the growing and vibrant city of Lockhart,” said David Schwarz, Head of Commercial Real Estate at Amherst, who leads the firm’s Community Development initiatives. We’re excited to share the results of a new survey we conducted in collaboration with Wakefield Research.  Our team surveyed 1,000 U.S. adults to gather their opinions on modular housing - homes constructed offsite and placed on permanent foundation.
