About us
Health care is changing & nurses cannot sit on the sidelines while decisions are made that affect our patients, our careers, and our personal wellbeing. Organizations that purport to speak for nurses are not representative of the breadth of the nursing profession. ANA-Ohio is an organization for RNs who provide direct care at the bedside, in community settings, classrooms, public health, and many other venues, as well as RNs in positions of leadership with the power to make policy changes. Having a wide perspective within a single entity allows for a broad frame of reference that reflects the concerns of new nurses, mid-career nurses, as well as those who call themselves "retired" nurses. #ANAOhio https://linktr.ee/anaohio *likes and shares do not constitute endorsement*

🔵⚪Member Monday🔵⚪ 🩺Tammy Kaylor, MSN, BA, RN, CDCA🩺 What made you choose nursing as a career? "After nearly thirty years working as a business operation and non-profit development specialist in the community, I accepted a challenge from the Executive Director (ED) of the Stark County Mental Health and Addiction Recovery board to take my passion for reducing stigma, expanding access, and increasing compassionate understanding for persons with addiction and mental illnesses and go to nursing school. As I was recanting the community involvement in response to the opiate epidemic and the teen suicide rates in the county and wondering what more we could do, ED John Aller proclaimed, "Tammy, two things, number one, switch to decaf, and two, go to nursing school. You can make a deeper impact as a psych nurse, and we need you!" I may have taken a long and winding road to get to this place, but I was meant for this work! Nursing is the greatest and most caring profession, and it is my life's honor to be counted among the ranks." Want to be featured on our social media and connect with your fellow nurses across the state? Fill out the quick and easy ANA-Ohio Member Monday Form below! This form gives you a chance to share your story and inspire others in the nursing community. We can't wait to learn more about you! https://bit.ly/3VEVN8v #ANAOhio #OhioNurses
