We're happy to share that our partner Larry Gilbert from Vacuum Solutions Group recently visited Brookhaven National Laboratory to check in on a project we're proud to have contributed to. We helped manufacture a major system component for the Vacuum Materials Characterization Test Station, part of the larger Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) project. Our work included a UHV chamber and skirt weldment, key elements in this cutting-edge system, pictured below. We’re excited to play a role in advancing the Electron-Ion Collider at BNL and look forward to its continued progress over the next 5-7 years! Learn more about the project on their official website: https://www.bnl.gov/eic/ Users located in New York - contact VSG for excellent, personalized service for all your vacuum needs! #vacuumscience #physics #vacuumtechnology #ultrahighvacuum #highvacuum #uhv

The triple point of water is a unique phenomenon where water simultaneously exists as a solid, liquid, and gas at a specific temperature and pressure. Achieving this balance requires a controlled environment, such as a vacuum chamber, where the exact pressure and temperature can be maintained. In this video, we'll take you through the process of creating these conditions in vacuum and demonstrate how the triple point of water can be observed in real time. #science #scienceexperiment #engineering #chemistry #vacuumscience #vacuumtechnology #experiment #highvacuum #ultrahighvacuum #triplepointofwater
