Last Thursday, twenty of our Star seniors joined the Mission 44 team for the Austin Grand Prix - STEM Inspiration Day out at the Circuit of The Americas. In partnership with F1, Hot Wheels, Pirelli, and the Austin Community College Make It Center, our students met industry professionals, explored potential career paths that involve STEM in motorsport, and participated in building a toy model F1 car. Our Stars even had the opportunity to meet Lewis Hamilton, founder of Mission 44. It was an amazing day and we are so thankful for Mission 44 for connecting our Stars with these partnerships that allow our students this next-level opportunity. #ARSpride
🇺🇲 Yesterday, we welcomed 50 young people from Austin to Circuit of The Americas, for a behind-the-scenes look into the exciting world of STEM and motorsport. The day started with the group designing their own Formula 1 cars, and a special visit from Mission 44 founder, Lewis Hamilton, who checked out their creations and shared some words of inspiration 💥 Next, we headed trackside to explore the F1 paddock and Pirelli tyre fitting zone, before taking part in a track-building challenge at Hot Wheels' ‘Challenge Accepted’ workshop. Thank you to all our partners who helped make it such an incredible day 💜 Ann Richards School Foundation, Code2College and Make It Center ACC Find out more about the event: https://lnkd.in/dYTWH42X
