🕺Hey everybody, the name's Peter Young. 🧑📚I am a junior at Christendom College, studying Political Science and Economics. 🚗🏔A favorite memory from last summer is.... one Friday night a bunch of the staff drove up Trail Ridge Road to watch the sunset. We got to a spot around 12,000 feet and me and two other guys climbed up a small hill to get a better view. The vista was incredible – no matter where we looked, we had an amazing view of the snow-capped peaks for miles around, not to mention the amazing sunset behind one of the ridges. It was a powerful experience of the majesty of God's creation which I will forever treasure. ✟🙏I am returning because.... I had an amazing summer last year at Annunciation Heights which truly changed my life and am excited to come back to continue doing the Lord's work in the beautiful Rockies! I know God has great plans both for me and the families and campers we'll be ministering to an am excited to be a part of this awesome work. The team of full-time staff, missionaries, and summer staff are also incredible and I am stoked to be working with them on this mission! 🏞I'm most looking forward to.... getting to know the campers and families we'll be ministering to this summer, working with the incredible staff, growing spiritually, and hiking in the Rockies.

Today we celebrate the feast of the Annunciation! The Angel Gabriel came down to earth to announce that Mary is to conceive and bear the son of God. This feast day is extra special to us here at camp since we are named after Mary's fiat. Let us reflect on Mary's courage, humility, and faith as we seek to echo her Yes in all that God asks of us!

👋Hi everyone! My name is Bridget Bassinger. 🍎🌡I'm studying Health Sciences as a sophomore at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs ❤️🙏A favorite memory from last summer is.... can I say all of it? I think one of my favorite memories was getting to see the campers have encounters with the Lord. One week of camp, we were having outdoor adoration with praise and worship. It was so clear that He was present, and it was so emotional to watch the whole entire group of kids get up to line up for confession and encounter Him in the Blessed Sacrament. It was such a powerful testament to the goodness of the Lord. 🤗😂What is calling me to return this summer?.... I am so glad that the Lord has called me back. I'm excited to love and to serve more people in this environment. The culture at AH is just incredible, and I have so many fond memories of laughing and just being surrounded with the absolute best people. ✟🫎This summer.... I'm excited to meet all the new staff, families, and campers and to live in an environment that is so centered around the Lord. The fact that camp is right next to Rocky Mountain National Park is also amazing. I will never forget my first moose sighting at camp- equal parts terrifying and exhilarating. Moose are huge, y'all.

“Faith and reason are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth; and God has placed in the human heart a desire to know the truth- in a word, to know himself- so that, by knowing and loving God, men and women may also come to the fullness of truth about themselves.” ― Pope John Paul II (Karol Wojtyła), Fides et Ratio: On the Relationship Between Faith and Reason
