Apollo Optical Systems is delighted to share that Gregory V. French has committed to joining Christopher Meetze to double their dedicated sales team coverage. French is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Apollo, he was an integral part of Optimax’s growth, engaged in increasingly customer-facing roles from manufacturing engineering to sales and key account management. French was a key operator at several local CNC machining facilities, including Impact Machining, P&R Industries, and Atlantis Tool. “We are excited to welcome Greg French as a Senior Business Development Manager. He will fundamentally improve our growth this year by adding his optics knowledge and manufacturing experience. Greg’s intricate understanding of optic components, sub-assemblies, robotics, and tooling will help our customers get to solutions faster,” stated Don Ehinger, CEO. “ With both Chris and Greg together, we will be able to increase and enhance our ability to serve the automotive, tactical, and life science markets.” Greg French will be joining Christopher Meetze, Senior Sales Engineer. Meetze has been with Apollo since the early spring of 2024, bringing his wealth of optics sales knowledge from past positions at New Scale Technologies, Navitar, and Lasermax over the course of his career. He is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo. You may reach either Chris or Greg at info@apollooptical.com for more information on your next injected polymer project or diamond-turning program. 🔊 Our automated polymer injection machines and robotic handling systems are fascinating to watch work. The number of parts per hour is controlled by cycle time, cavitation, and secondary operations. During discussions with our customers we design process and automation routines to yield the lowest cost and most accurate part. Contact us today to discuss how we can create a manufacturing process to drive down your costs. #fascinating #polymeroptics #injectionmolding

When is diamond-turning on polymer parts needed? Are you in the development phase of your program and need to verify part performance? Single point diamond turning is a fast, accurate manufacturing method for polymer components. Submicron surface finishes and highly accurate geometries are possible with diamond turning. It is a cost effective, faster alternative to traditional injection molding. The BEST way to know for certain, is to ask our team! Contact us with your next project requirements (including diamond-turning) at https://hubs.li/Q02Qn7s30 #diamondturning #ourpartsarediamonds #apolloexcellence

Free planning resource for working with polymers! There are a wide array of popular polymers out there today and it can be time consuming to sort all of the details and specification to know which one is the right one for your application. Is it diamond-turnable? What is the transmission? Will CTE be an issue? That's where our handy online tool comes in. Either download your copy today, or reach out to our team for expert answers on your entire project requirements. https://hubs.li/Q02PfHDh0 #wehavetheanswers #allthingspolymer #rochestermanufacturing #rocoptics

Non-optical designers get MORE support from Apollo with injected polymer parts. Our team is geared to support mechanical engineers, systems engineers and electrical engineers that have been tapped on the shoulder and told to “design a part that fits into this space.” We understand that you need the missing data so we supply the tools and expertise to make sure your project is a success, not just optically, but mechanically. Our team consists of experts in mold making, optical design, engineering, the actual molding process and optical coatings. Many of the parts we make contain optical surface and are controlled by standard optical metrology such as transmission, form, surface quality, and stress. The mechanical constraints, such as mounting features are also considered. Most of the engineers we deal with are not optical designers. Helping them make the best choices for their programs is our primary goal. Reach out to us early in your component design process. Our DFM team has years of experience which will help you get to market faster at lower overall cost. Reach out to our team at the start of your next project so that you get to market faster. https://hubs.li/Q02NqFKg0 #rochestermanufacturing #polymermanufacturing #madeintheusa
