We are pleased to share that Appalachian Mountain Health is resuming limited dental services via our Mobile Dental Unit at 77 McDowell St. (AMH Asheville) as we address the water and internet challenges at our main office in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Our AMH Mobile Dental Unit will be providing key services such as emergency and palliative care, as well as denture and partial follow-ups, on a first-come, first-served basis. Yesterday, after our Mobile Medical Unit had completed its services for the day, Summer Hettinger, FNP-C, one of our dedicated Family Nurse Practitioners, stayed late to ensure that a community member had safe transportation to a local shelter. She even shared her own meal while waiting for the ride to arrive, showcasing the compassion and dedication that define Appalachian Mountain Health’s response during this difficult time. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, our team remains focused not only on providing essential medical care but also on supporting the well-being of our community in every way we can. Our commitment to care goes beyond medical services, and we will continue to be here for Western North Carolina as we recover together. #HeleneRelief #CommunityCare #WNCStrong #AppMtnHealth #CompassionInAction
