Green Dot Corporation is a US #financial technology and registered bank holding company with over 33 million customers through its retail and direct-to-consumer products. In the fast-moving world of digital banking and BaaS, the speed and reliability of services are crucial, and Green Dot’s team forecasts that approximately 80 million statements will be generated each year. To serve both their #BaaS platform customers and their own #GO2bank customers, Green Dot needed to dynamically generate #digital statements on-demand as a #PDF. After evaluating several .NET PDF libraries, and because #iText by #Apryse is widely used in the #banking and #financial sector, Green Dot’s team selected Apryse for high-volume, server-side PDF generation. It's been 30 years since the introduction of PDF, and one of the most common use cases still continues to be entering and capturing data using forms. Over the years, there have been two main ways to create #PDF forms to capture data — #AcroForms and #XFA forms. Both came from Adobe, and both have their own advantages and disadvantages. However, XFA has been deprecated from the PDF specification, while AcroForms remain supported - which can lead to problems for those sectors that still use XFA.
