A fun and exciting time was had by all at the Michigan Technological University / American Center for Mobility Ceremony and Open House event, which was recently held in Ypsilanti, MI. Over 120 people attended this event, which celebrated Michigan Tech's new role as engineering services provider for ACM. After hearing opening remarks from ACM CEO Reuben Sarkar, Jeff Naber, and President Koubek, guests were treated to a buffet lunch. Attendees had a chance to tour the facility, as well as take in short tech talks and demonstrations that showcased MTU and ACM's technological advancements and collaborative capabilities. Some chose to enjoy a ride in ARPA-E's NEXTCAR, which leverages vehicle automation and connectivity to reduce energy consumption. The latest and most innovative mobility technology was on display. Advanced Power Systems Research Center (APS LABS) brought down several vehicles. Even Pettibone's gigantic, specialized hybrid electric Cary-Lift made the trip there.
